Tesla ignited a sustainable transport revolution not with a 'Leaf' but with the Roadster. Why? To show the world something it didn't believe possible - an insanely epic electric vehicle.
From there, the premium price tag of the Roaster helped fund the R&D to make the same electric car fundamentals increasingly affordable with scale. This technology is now in the Model 3, with more affordable models on the horizon.
What we can take from this is that innovation solves problems, is expensive in the beginning, and becomes cheaper with scale.
It this way, DreamSpace's master plan isn't to start with cheap or small housing. It's to start by building truely desirable housing. Next we use scale and cost declines to drive affordability of our sustainable, spacious, epic multi-family housing to the masses.
